Points of Entry Into Cambodia
There are 18 points of entry into Cambodia where visa-on-arrival is issued. Five (5) of these points of entry also accept the Cambodian tourist e-visa purchased online. These five entry-points (where e-visa is accepted) are namely:
1. Phnom Penh International Airport
2. Siem Reap International Airport
3. Bavet immigration checkpoint (coming in from Vietnam)
4. Poipet immigration checkpoint (coming in from Thailand through the Cambodian northwestern border)
5. Koh Kong immigration checkpoint (coming in from Thailand through the Cambodian southwestern border).

Phnom Penh International Airport in the city of Phnom Penh
The airport is less than 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the central part of the city. International flights originating from airports within Asia land here.
Siem Reap International Airport in the city of Siem Reap
The airport is less than 8 kilometers (5 miles) from downtown Siem Reap. International flights originating from airports within Asia land here.
Poipet - Aranyaprathet Border Gate in the province of Banteay Meanchey
This is in the Aranyaprathet-Poipet crossing point, for those coming from Thailand (Aranyaprathet border).
Aranyaprathet (sometimes also called "Aran") is a border-town of the province of Sa Kaeo in Thailand. Poipet is a border-town in the province of Banteay Meanchey in Cambodia. Aranyaprathet and Poipet lie beside each other along the border of Thailand and Cambodia. You exit Thailand in Aranyaprathet and walk to Poipet to enter the territory of Cambodia.
Poipet is about 400 kilometers (249 miles), about 8 hours travel, from Phnom Penh and about 150 kilometers (93 miles), about 3 hours travel, from Siem Reap.
Airconditioned buses ply the Poipet-Phnom Penh route and the Poipet-Siem Reap route, with a bus leaving almost every hour.
Cham Yeam - Hat Lek Border Gate in the province of Koh Kong
This is the Hat Lek - Cham Yeam crossing point, for those coming in from Thailand (Hat Lek border).
Cham Yeam is the border-town of the province of Koh Kong, Cambodia. Hat Lek (sometimes called Had Lek) is the last town on the Thailand side of the border.
Koh Kong is a point of entry into Cambodia that may not be as busy as Poipet or Bavet. Many adventurous tourist, however, are beginning to discover this gateway to Cambodia from Thailand.
You exit from Thailand's immigration office at Hat Lek and walk to the Cambodian immigration office a few meters away at Cham Yeam.
The border-town of Hat Lek is about 436 kilometers (271 miles) from Bangkok, which can take about 5 hours of travel, passing through the province of Trat. From the Hat Lek and Cham Yeam border-point to the capital-town of Koh Kong is about 10 kilometers (7 miles).
Motorcycles, motorcycle-drawn carriages (tuk-tuk), taxis and minivans bring passengers from the border-gate to the capital-town of Koh Kong. About 20 minutes travel time. Airconditioned buses in Koh Kong ply the route between Phnom Penh and Koh Kong and Sihanoukville and Koh Kong.
Bavet - Mocbai Border Gate in the province of Svay Rieng
This is in the Moc Bai - Bavet crossing point, for those coming in from Vietnam (Moc Bai border).
Bavet is a border-town in the province of Svay Rieng, Cambodia. The last town on the Vietnam side of the border is Moc Bai.
Airconditioned buses ply the Saigon-Phnom Penh route, with a bus leaving almost every hour from 7:00 in the morning up to 3:00 in the afternoon.
O'smach - Chong Chorm Border Gate in the province of Oddar Meanchey
This is at the province of Oddar Meanchey on the northern border of Cambodia with Thailand, for those coming from the northwestern part of Thailand. E-visa is not accepted at this border-gate with Thailand.
Travellers coming from the northwestern part of Thailand find this entry point convenient, especially in going to Siem Reap.
It is about 160 kilometers (about 99 miles) from the O'smach Border Checkpoint to Siem Reap. May take about 3 to 4 hours, by taxi or minivan.
Trapaing - Norg Nokbiane Border Gate in the province of Stung Treng
This is for those coming in from Laos (Norg Nokbiane border) NOTE: E-visa is not accepted at this border gate with Laos.
